KICHIDI
Ingredients
- 2 cups Rice
- 1 cup moong dal(pesarapappu)
- 2 carrots
- 1 potato
- 1 onion
- 4 green chillies
- fenugreek leaves
- coriander leaves
- seasonings
- oil
- Mix the rice and dal,soak for an hour.
- Put a pan on the stove and heat oil(2 tbsp).
- Add seasonings and fenugreek leaves.
- Once the seasoning start splitting,add the chopped onions and slit chillies.
- Fry till the onions are slight brown.
- Cut the carrots and potato into small pieces.
- Add the cut vegetables to the pan and fry till they become tender.
- Add 1teaspoon of gingergarlic paste and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric.
- Drain out the water and the rice and dal.
- Fry the ingrediants in the pan for about a minute on a low flame.
- Now add 6 cups(1:2 ratio) of water and cook till done.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves andserve.
- NUTRITIOUS AND DELICIOUS KICHIDI IS READY TO EAT.
